Passcards
Passcards will be used each month to reinforce school/classroom rules and expectations. Students can lose Passcard boxes for infractions such as missing homework, off-task behavior, and breaking rules. If students lose boxes it will be sent home for parents to sign. At the end of the month Passcards are sent home for parent review and signature. If students meet the monthly Passcard goal they will participate in a grade level activity. If students do not meet the month's Passcard goal they will instead participate in Study Hall.
Homework Policy
Please make sure to check and sign your student's planner for daily homework assignments. Students who complete their homework for the entire week earn $5.00 in their ledger to spend at the class store. Students who do not complete homework will stay in for morning recess to finish it and will have a block marked off of their Passcard.
School Attendance and Absences
The school pays close attention to a student's attendance. Students who are in school less than one-half of the school day are marked absent for the entire day. Parents must notify the school of their child's absence by one of the following ways. You may call the school at 483-7250 by 8:30 a.m. on the day of the absence giving your child's name, room number, teacher, grade and a brief reason for the absence. Or you may send a note to the office stating the reason for the absence.
Students that are not in their classroom at 7:55 a.m. are tardy. They must report to the office for a tardy slip before going to class.
Cell Phone Policy
In many of the schools, cellular phones are considered contraband and students are not allowed to have them in their possession. With this in mind, students will be allowed to have a cellular phone in their possession under the following stipulations:
